Herstory

Intriguingly, life's journey presents us with the extraordinary chance to metamorphose into countless versions of ourselves. Amidst this wondrous evolution, we invariably discover that we are destined to grow into the very essence of who we are today - the person we were always meant to become.

My story began on October 9, 1998

I came into this world alongside my two siblings, Feline and Rameses, in the vibrant city of Boston, MA. Growing up in a single-parent household, being one of three siblings, came with its unique set of challenges. Nevertheless, my supermom took it upon herself to provide us with the most nurturing and loving childhood she could muster. In the face of trials and adversities, she never wavered in her love, inspiring me to carry that same determination wherever I went.

How I Found My Passion

Unlike a single defining moment, my path has been a tapestry of diverse experiences, constantly shifting between various career aspirations that, at times, even had me fearing for my dear mom's heart (thankfully, she survived it all!). From Snowden International in Copley to Boston Arts Academy in Fenway (now in Dorchester), and finally, Another Course to College in Hyde Park, I transferred three times during my high school years, exploring different avenues to find my passion.

As I began my freshman year at UMASS Dartmouth, my ambition knew no bounds, weaving a path that led me from aspiring to become a lawyer, to a teacher, and then a journalist. Amidst the chaos of the world, I proudly graduated in May 2021 with a dual degree in Women's Gender Studies and English: Communications & Rhetoric, driven by the determination to become a news anchor. Clearly, my future was an open canvas, and I was grateful for the privilege to explore diverse options, nurturing both my personal and professional growth.

As I embarked on this quest, I gradually uncovered a common thread connecting all my pursuits: storytelling.

I had always been a natural-born storyteller, expressing narratives through words, designs, and pictures. I am still on a fascinating journey, exploring innovative ways to tell compelling tales that resonate with others. I firmly believe in the transformative power of stories; they possess the unique ability to bridge gaps between individuals, to celebrate our differences, and to recognize how our diverse experiences collectively enrich and fortify us.
